Paper for the rooms you live in
Powder rooms, baths, bedrooms, halls and dining rooms are where wallpaper earns its place. We hang printed, nonwoven and pre-pasted paper, and we do the wall work first so the pattern sits on a surface that is flat, sealed and plumb.
Wall first
Fill, sand, prime or size, then mark a plumb line.
Pattern next
We lay out the drops from the room's focal point so the repeat falls where it looks right.

Before we start
What your wall needs first
We check each of these at the wall check, and the quote names what the wall needs.
A sound surface
Loose paint, flaking plaster and a crumbling skim are fixed or sealed before paper goes up.
Fill dents and open seams
Sand to a smooth, dull surface
A sealed surface
Raw plaster and new drywall are primed or sized so the paste grips and the paper can come off one day.
Primer or size matched to the paper
Dry time written into the schedule
A dry wall
Paper over damp fails at the seams. If a wall feels cold or damp, we say so and point to the cause first.
Look for stains and soft spots
Fix the leak before the paper
A plumb start
Walls and corners are rarely straight, so the first drop follows a plumb line, not the corner.

Paper types
Three papers we hang most
- 01
Nonwoven
Pasted on the wall and hung dry. It handles most rooms, and it is the one most likely to peel off cleanly later.
- 02
Pre-pasted
Paste is on the back and activated with water. Quick to hang, and fussier about the wall beneath it.
- 03
Traditional pasted-paper
Pasted on the back, folded and rested before it goes up. Often the hand-printed and scenic patterns.
How long it takes
Rooms, in days
Ranges for planning. The written quote gives the days for your walls and your paper.
Powder room or small bath
One day for most. Fixtures and tight corners are the time.
Bedroom accent wall
Half a day to one day, once the wall is ready.
Dining room or hall
One to two days, with a high ceiling or a large repeat at the long end.
Stairwell
Two days or more; we bring a scaffold plank and a second pair of hands.
Questions about wallpaper
Can you hang paper I bought online?
Yes. Send the maker's name, the roll width and the repeat first. We check the rolls for matching dye lots when they arrive, before anything is cut.
How much extra paper should I order?
It depends on the repeat and the room. A large repeat wastes more paper. Kate counts the drops and gives you a roll count with the extra the pattern needs.
Will the paper hold up in a bathroom?
Paper in a bath with a working fan does well when the wall is sealed first. Ask us about the paper you have chosen, and read the maker's care sheet.
What does your work cover?
We stand behind our hanging: a seam that lifts or a pattern that does not match is ours to fix. Terms, limits and exclusions are in your written warranty, and the paper itself is covered by its maker.
Send a photo of the wall
Text a picture and the paper's name. You get an answer about prep and a time for the wall check.
